H+ Model framework agreement exhibition H+ delegation, helsingborg municipality 6 x 8 meter 2011 Schønherr |
During this spring ADEPT developed a 7 x 8 meter 1:500 model of the 1.000.000 m2 H+ site in the central Helsingborg. The model is part of a dynamic exhibition which opened in April 2011 and will continue to grow during the coming years. The exhibition tells an ongoing story about the developing of the H+ area, from cultural interventions and temporary projects and events to large scale construction of buildings, infrastructure and public space. The model shows how the H+ area could be imagined in around 2030. Build up in mobile modules of 1,2 x 1,2 meter, the model can grow and adapt to new unknown futures simply be changing or replacing one module. At the exhibition, 3 un-build modules leave space for the creativity and thoughts of the visitors of the exhibition and the administration of the H+ project. The surrounding city is in the model build up as simple wooden volumes indicating the structure of the city, not the single buildings. Entering the H+ site, the future build mass is represented as different sorts of local wood, showing the diverse choice of material, scale and relation to the public spaces. In the model the public space is shown very abstract as a black surface contrasting the wooden buildings. Furthermore, the Blue Green connection running through the entire central part of the H+ area, is indicated as more natural green landscape transforming to an urban promenade and canal moving towards the harbour areas. The public space is printed directly on beech plywood, leaving the beautiful contours of the wood visible in the surface of the entire model. |
