Office
ADEPT is based in Copenhagen and performs architecture, planning and landscape design. The studio was founded in 2006 by Anders Lonka, Martin Laursen and Martin Krogh. The three founding partners front ADEPT's creative work and development. Sanne Lindhardt, Head of Office works in close cooperation with the three partners on strategic management, operations and development.

ADEPT only takes part in deliberately selected projects. This makes it possible to achieve serious and ambitious collaborations and reach a high quality in every project in the studio's auspices. In recent years ADEPT has won several national and international architectural, urban and town planning competitions.

Approach
ADEPT's professional approach is about creating a close relationship between architecture and urbanism. To rethink the relationship between the city and the building - between the built and non-built environment.

It is an engagement with city spaces and the limits of the public realm that creates value and generates new forms of space in ADEPT’s work. Rather than perceiving buildings as a facade and a two-dimensional stacking of floors, we try to move the urban space into the architecture in order to challenge the three-dimensional space. Our projects thus meet both the individual needs of the projects and add value and innovation to the urban environment.

Method
In a given task various options and solutions are developed and challenged in extensive physical model studies. Through a careful reading of the intensions and the challenges associated with the task, models are continuously qualified in the process. This way the understanding of each task's unique potentials and possibilities is sharpened. In the sketching process the many possible solutions are sorted until finally only one solution is left - the single dominant main idea.

The dominant main idea unfolds in a series of smaller stories that create the overall story. The intention is to combine a simple and clear architectural concept with smaller stories, which allow you to explore the buildings, urban plans and landscapes designed by ADEPT.
